Chaberton Estate Winery 2018 Estate Grown Bacchus

Bacchus is a modern white wine varietal cross-bred from Silvaner, Riesling and Müller-Thurgau. The result is an early ripening grape suitable for cooler climates and this one comes from western British Columbia. On the nose, it offers aromas of peach and pear with notes of fresh ginger and a gravel minerality. On the palate, it's off-dry, but displays lively citrus acidity alluding to pink grapefruit and lime with notes of mango and orange. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
