Forbidden Fruit Winery 2014 Plumiscuous Plum Mistelle

Forbidden Fruit Winery 2014 Plumiscuous Plum Mistelle

This is a fortified plum dessert wine made from European and Asian red plums grown in British Columbia's Similkameen Valley. It offers an alluring nose of sweet prunes and tropical fruit with floral aromatics and exotic spices. On the palate are flavors of spice poached plum, strawberry jam, sweet Mandarin orange, raisin and candied lemon peel. This works as a dessert on its own, but you could also pair this with hard cheeses, roasted pork loin with a spicy rub, jerk chicken or cheese cake.

AVA: Similkameen Valley, British Columbia
