This Horse Heaven Hills Merlot is rich and intriguing, showing abundant notes of ripe black fruit with herbal, floral and earthy nuances. On the nose, prominent herbal and floral notes mix with aromas of dried black fruit. On the palate, fruit forward flavors allude to a rich plum sauce with notes of chocolate, an uplifting beam of tart cherries and a dusting of lingering baking spice.
