Stave & Stone Winery 2016 Quiver Red Wine

This red blend consists of 55% Merlot, 40% Zinfandel and 5% Syrah grown in the Columbia River Gorge. On the nose are aromas of jammy black fruit with notes of cedar, black peppercorn, Allspice and saddle leather. On the palate, flavors alluding to blueberry are nicely balanced with earthy and bitter notes of violet, cocoa powder and tea with some textured tannins. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
