Chaberton Estate Winery 2017 Bacchus
Published: April 18, 2019
Bacchus is a modern cross-bred varietal that mixed Muller Thurgau and a Silvaner-Riesling cross resulting in a white wine grape that ripens in cooler climates where Riesling doesn't reliably ripen. This aromatic white presents notes of peach and mango with honeysuckle and orange zest on the nose. On the palate, it offers a gorgeous acidity with fruity notes that hint at apricot, orange and nectarine with a dusting of baking spices. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
