Lopez Island Vineyards 2019 Madeleine Angevine
Published: April 2, 2021
Crisp, aromatic and perfect for seafood, Madeleine Angevine is a white wine grape with origins in France's marine influenced Loire Valley. The early ripening grape is finding a home in Western Washington and this one comes from Lopez Island Vineyards in Puget Sound's San Juan Islands. It presents aromas of orange blossom mingling with notes of apple, white peach and a hint of fresh sweet herbs. On the palate, it displays intense acidity with flavors of lemon, gooseberry and green apple, finishing with hints of mineral and saline.
