Nearly 200 Gold Medals for Northwest wines were awarded during the recently completed 2025 Savor Northwest Wine Awards competition in Cannon Beach, Oregon. The 15th annual Savor Northwest competition featured nine professional wine judges from the Pacific Northwest and beyond who assessed several hundred wines from Oregon, Washington, Idaho and British Columbia in a blind tasting over three days.

The competition's most awarded winery was Oregon's King Estate Winery who captured seven Gold Medals or better in the competition. The Eugene winery's awards included a Best of Class for its 2019 Brut Cuvee Sparkling, a Double Gold Medal for its 2023 Domaine Pinot Gris and Gold Medals for three different bottlings of Pinot Noir.

Two Washington wineries were next in the overall medal count with both Eleven Winery from Bainbridge Island and Tsillan Cellars from Lake Chelan claiming six Gold Medals or better each. Eleven captured Best of Class honors for their 2024 Chenin Blanc and Double Gold Medals for their 2022 "The Deputy" Mourvedre and their 2022 La Ronde red wine blend. Among Tsillan's top awards were Double Gold Medals for their 2022 Malbec and 2022 Bellissima Rossa red blend. Double Gold Medals are awarded when all three judges on the three-person panels agree the wine should receive a score in the mid-90s.

Prosser Washington's Alexandria Nicole Cellars was close behind on medal count, capturing five Gold Medals or better including an astounding four Best of Class awards for their 2024 white wines including their Affinity Albarino, a2 Sauvignon Blanc, Crawford Viognier and Shepherd's Mark white blend. Their Affinity Albarino was later crowned SavorNW's White Wine of the Year before it competed against the best red wine, rose wine and sparkling wine to be selected as SavorNW's Wine of the Year.

Sidereus Winery from Oregon's Willamette Valley also claimed five Gold Medals or better including Double Gold Medals for each of three different bottlings of 2022 Pinot Noir including their La Colina, Winemaker's Cuvee and Willamette Valley designations.

Three Northwest wineries captured four Gold Medals or higher awards including Washington's Coyote Canyon Winery, Newberg Oregon's Domain Lumineaux and British Columbia's Chaberton Estate Winery. Coyote Canyon's awards included two Best of Class wins for their 2022 Merlot and 2024 Life is a Rose. Domain Lumineaux snapped up Double Gold Medals or better for four 2021 bottlings of their Pinot Noirs including Double Gold Medals for their Clone 114, Clone 777 and Reserve Pinot. Their clone specific Pommard Pinot Noir not only claimed Best Pinot Noir of the competition, it was named SavorNW's Red Wine of the Year, competing directly with all other Best of Class red wines in the competition.

Langley, British Columbia's Chaberton Estate Winery earned Best of Class honors for its 2024 Pinot Gris and Double Gold Medals for their 2020 Meritage Bordeaux-style red blend and their 2023 Gewurztraminer.
