Complex aromas on the nose reveal smoky black plum and wet cedar with notes of pipe tobacco, spice cake, black peppercorn and dried herbs. Flavors of black cherry and peppery spice mix with notes of pencil lead, leading to a nicely balanced dry finish showing dark fruit with violet, clove spice and clay dust. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
