Big and dark, this Carmenere from Red Mountain deftly balances dark fruit with earthy flavors and notes of minerality. Deep purple in color, it opens with aromas of blackberry jam and sweet tobacco with notes of green pepper and a touch of minerality. Flavors of black cherry are balanced with notes of chocolate, black pepper and graphite. Serve this with roasted meats, mushroom sauces or an earthy stew.
