Walla Walla Vintners 2014 Dolcetto

The Northern Italian grape known as the "little sweet one" shows remarkable restraint and structure in this offering. On the nose, dark berry jam, fig, cedar and tobacco are prominent with hints of vanilla, dried herbs and a touch of clove spice. Flavors of tart black cherry and hibiscus tea are nicely balanced upfront with notes of graphite and rhubarb on a beautifully structured finish. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
