14 Hands 2016 Run Wild Red Blend
Published: December 4, 2018
This is a red blend of 75% Syrah, 13% Mourvedre, 7% Grenache, 3% Viognier and 2% other varietals. On the nose, dark fruit mixes with smoky notes of bacon fat with hints of black pepper and sweet tobacco. On the palate, flavors of blueberry and plum are upfront, balanced by notes of baking spice and a touch of vanilla with earthy notes of graphite and cocoa on a nicely balanced finish. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
