Abacela 2013 Barrel Select Tempranillo

This wine offers complex and enticing aromas of dried blueberry and fig mixing with smoky pastrami and tobacco, but you'll also find notes of dark chocolate, potpourri and hints of dried herbs and black peppercorn. Nicely structured on the palate, it reveals flavors of black cherry and spiced blackberry sauce with a gravel minerality emerging on the mid-palate with notes of dark chocolate, violet and black pepper showing on an elegant finish. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
