Amaranthine 2017 Tempranillo

This is a bold and fruit forward Tempranillo from Eugene, Oregon's StoneRiver Vineyard using grapes from Southern Oregon's Rogue Valley. A complex nose intrigues with aromas of Italian plum mixed with notes of cedar, cigar box and rose-vanilla potpourri. On the palate, it delivers flavors of spiced cherry-chocolate sauce, finishing with notes of cinnamon and baking spices. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
