Chaberton Estate Winery 2014 Bacchus Reserve

Chaberton Estate Winery 2014 Bacchus Reserve

Chaberton proves that the Bacchus grape, a cross between Muller-Thurgau and Silvaner, can produce a balanced off-dry wine as a stand alone varietal in cool climates. This offering features a nose of canned peaches and orange blossom. It feigns sweet on the palate, but presents itself as nicely balanced with some acidity on a beautiful long finish. Bright fruit flavors upfront with peach, apricot and pineapple, then a balanced finish with mandarin orange and meyer lemon. Pair this with spicy Asian dishes or curry.
