Chaberton Estate Winery 2017 Barrel Aged Chardonnay

This Chardonnay from Langley, British Columbia's Chaberton Estate Winery use grapes from Okanagan Valley, aging the wine in the bottle for over a year. Its aromatics present citrus and creamy notes alluding to lemon curd around a core of baked apple with spice dusted pie crust. On the palate, flavors are reminiscent of lemon crème brulee and Asian pear with a refreshing salinity and a streak of minerality. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
