Chemeketa Cellars 2022 Syrah

Students from the Northwest Wine Studies Center in Salem get an A grade on this Syrah using grapes from Yakima's Elephant Mountain Vineyard. It presents intriguing aromas of dark fruit mixed with savory and earthy notes of olive, leather and graphite. On the palate, it opens with lively juicy flavors of black cherry that are met on the mid-palate by earthy notes espresso and iron that blend seamlessly through a dry finish.
