This wine is a red blend of varietals native to Italy including 33% Dolcetto, 33% Lagrein and 33% Barbera. On the nose, it offers rich plummy aromas punctuated by notes of peppery spice, dried herbs and earthy-floral violet with a hint of cured meat. On the palate, it delivers a rounded mouthfeel with abundant fruit alluding to blackberry with a velvety plush mid-palate and softened tannins adding a fine texture before a finish hinting at milk chocolate covered cherry.
