Chris James Cellars 2023 Cuvee Blanc

This white wine blend includes 90% Scheurebe and 10% Huxelrebe, both aromotic white wine hybrid grapes developed in Germany. Both varietals are commonly used in sweeter wines while this one from the Yamhill-Carlton District of Willamette Valley is made in a refreshing off-dry style. Aromas allude to peach, pear and apricot with hints of ginger and basil. On the palate, it delivers flavors of Asian pear with a splash of tangerine. It builds to a nice weight on the mid-palate delivering a long, bright finish with just a hint of honey.
