Coyote Canyon Winery 2018 Primitivo
Published: August 31, 2021
This is a jammy-rich and slightly smoky Primitivo from Washington's Horse Heaven Hills. It introduces itself with intriguing, deep aromas that allude to plum sauce with interesting hints of dried Aleppo pepper, sweet-smoky tobacco and a dash of five-spice powder. It's more restrained on the palate, showing nicely balanced flavors of blackberry that mix with notes of baking spices, cocoa and black licorice that all play well through a lingering finish with just enough acidity to keep it lively.
