D'Anu 2016 Sangiovese

This Sangiovese from Oregon's slice of the Walla Walla Valley is rich, savory and intriguing. On the nose, it presents a striking combination of savory aromas mixing with sauced fruit where notes of Hoisin are enveloped in hints of tobacco, black licorice and sweet dried herbs. On the palate, it delivers dark and rich flavors of plum and black licorice, with textured hints of cocoa and espresso joining the mix on the finish.
