Koi Pond Cellars 2014 Chardonnay

This wine nicely straddles a zesty style Chardonnay with creamy notes that bring a beautiful complexity without taking center stage. A complex and enticing nose showcases yellow apple, Bartlett pear and vanilla crème brulee mingling with floral aromas of orange blossom and a hint of pie crust. Flavors of lemon curd, crème fraiche, lime zest, melon rind and a touch of baking spice are nicely framed with a beautiful minerality showing through an extended finish. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
