Larch Hills Winery 2016 Lemberger

Larch Hills Winery 2016 Lemberger

The Lemberger or Blaufrankisch grape varietal features bold fruit with peppery notes and racy acidity and this one delivers with aromas of ripe black plums balanced by notes of clove, black peppercorn and sweet tobacco. On the palate, it attacks fruit forward with bright and lively flavors of black cherry and red plum with prominent notes of Allspice and hints of brambly earthiness that find a pleasing balance throughout a lingering finish. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
