Mercer Family Vineyards 2016 Edge of Heaven Blend

This red wine blend from Prosser, Washington's Mercer Wine Estates includes 39% Merlot, 31% Syrah, 16% Malbec and smaller portions of Grenache, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon from Horse Heaven Hills. On the nose, it offers aromas of dark, jammy fruit mixed with notes of violet, cigar box and baking spices. On the palate, it delivers flavors of blueberry, chocolate, vanilla and textured tannins that carry a finish showing hints of clove spice. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
