Monte Ferro Winery 2021 Pinot Gris

Monte Ferro Winery 2021 Pinot Gris

This Southern Oregon Pinot Gris first claimed the 2022 Savor Northwest's Best of Class Pinot Gris title, then White Wine of the Year before being named SavorNW Wine of Year in a side-by-side comparison with the top red wine, rose, sparkling and dessert wine. This Pinot Gris is bright and balanced with flavors of apricot, nectarine pit and lime upfront; and lemon-lime acidity lingering on the finish with a touch of orange zest. On the nose, it's delightfully fruity with aromas of pear, peach and yellow apple that mingle with notes of orange blossom, a hint of fresh ginger and citrus zest. Fruit came from Southern Oregon's Umpqua Valley and the wine was made by Terry Brandborg in Elkton Oregon.
