Naches Heights Vineyard 2018 Albarino
Published: May 21, 2019
The Spanish Albarino grape makes the perfect match for seafood and this one from Naches Heights Vineyard near Yakima, Washington hits the mark with expressive aromatics and racy acidity on the palate. On the nose, it's delightfully aromatic, alluding to peach, honeydew melon, citrus blossom and fresh basil, sometimes conjuring memories of Juicy Fruit gum. Flavors include bold notes of lemon, grapefruit and melon rind with a finish revealing a light minerality and a splash of quinine. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
