Port Townsend Vineyards 2017 Reserve Pinot Gris
Published: August 31, 2019
This Pinot Gris from Washington's Port Townsend Vineyards spent enough time on skins to pick up a yellow-copper color like Italy's Pinot Grigio Ramato. Expect something different than your typical Northwest Pinot Gris. The intriguing nose offers light floral aromas and honey mixed with notes of green walnut and leather. On the palate, flavors allude to spiced Asian pear with a drop of honey before an earthy minerality emerges on a savory finish. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
