Reustle Prayer Rock Vineyards 2016 Estate Cuvee Syrah

This wine is juicy and youthful with plenty of complex notes to keep it interesting. Aromas of blackberry jam and dried cherry are upfront on the nose with a touch of green peppercorn, sweet tobacco, vanilla, allspice and sweet, smoky bacon fat. On the palate, it's fruit forward with plum sauce and blueberry mixed with clove spice, acidity reminiscent of plum skin, earthy notes of graphite and savory hints of black olive and sage. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
