If you prefer dry, earthy and firmly structured Bordeaux blends, this one delivers with 27% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Franc, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Malbec and 8% Petit Verdot. On the nose, smoky aromas wrap around black fruit with notes of bell pepper, cedar, bay leaf and leather. On the palate, the dark fruit is firmly framed by bold tannins and earthy notes of violet, tomato leaf and graphite. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
