Schmidt Family Vineyards 2015 Albarino

This wine would be a nice alternative to food calling for Sauvignon Blanc or a crisp Pinot Gris. On the nose, melon, peach and papaya notes are wrapped around aromas of orange blossom and a hint of beeswax. On the palate, lemon and grapefruit flavors provide a bright attack followed by a mid-palate with crushed gravel notes, grapefruit pith and a touch of ginger before a clean finish showing a spritz of quinine. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
