Sigillo Cellars 2017 Sunset
Published: November 16, 2020
Sunset is a blend of red Bordeaux varietals from Snoqualmie, Washington's Sigillo Cellars. The blend includes 42% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Malbec, 11% Carmenere and smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. On the nose are aromas of ripe black fruit with notes of Allspice and pipe tobacco. On the palate, it shows nice acidity, opening with black cherry that is nicely balanced with notes of dark chocolate, espresso, tobacco leaf, violet and a minerally finish alluding to graphite.
