Westport Winery is located in the heart of Washington's cranberry country and Rapture of the Deep is a sparkling cranberry wine that may be easy to dismiss as a gimmick - until you try it. This is a truly well-made sparkler. Cranberry provides the bold acidity, but flavors of peach and red berry cream find a nice balance to the persistent acidity. Lovely and intriguing herbal notes that hint at mint and lemon balm are most obvious on the nose.
