Woodhouse Wine Estates Darighe Proprietor's Blend
Published: October 22, 2018
This Bordeaux-style blend is made up of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, 8% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot. On the nose, it's complex and enticing with aromas alluding to smoky plum and fruitcake with notes of cedar, pipe tobacco, chocolate, black peppercorn and touch of clove spice. On the palate, flavors of black cherry and plum skin with a touch of vanilla are balanced with earthy notes of violet, graphite and bay leaf that blend for a nicely structured dry, lingering finish. - Reviewed by Gary Hayes
